Collapse Weave

In this book, the author Anne Field describes the various techniquesweavers can use to achieve collapsed weave textures. Thesemethods include: using yarns which have different properties as toshrinkage, twist and size; using weave structures that react with eachother to form ridges and hollows, and a combination of the two. This is a very practical book guiding the weaver step by step in theprocess of creating collapsed weaves. The book is filled withimages of finished work by a number of artists as well as detailedgrids for setting up the loom. This is a fairly new-ish area andAnne Field is one of the leading artists in the field.
